Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima to travel California and Texas on economic working visit
From Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 September, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander* and Queen Máxima will be conducting an economic working visit to California and Texas in the United States. The trip will see them visit San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Austin and Houston.
The working visit will serve to highlight the Kingdom’s excellent economic relations with California and Texas. There will be a central focus on a range of themes, including transatlantic cooperation, climate change, the energy transition and healthcare.
Their Majesties will be accompanied on the visit by foreign trade and development minister Liesje Schreinemacher. Ernst Kuipers, Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport, Robbert Dijkgraaf, Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ruisandro Cijntje, Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, and Vivianne Heijnen, State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management will also take part in the visit.
A trade mission to San Francisco and Los Angeles involving businesses and knowledge institutions active in Life Sciences & Health and Urban Mobility & Cycling will also take place in parallel to the working visit.
