State visit to Sweden
At the invitation of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima will pay a state visit to Sweden. The visit will take place in Stockholm and Gothenburg from Tuesday 11 October to Thursday 13 October 2022.
This state visit reaffirms the close relations between the Netherlands and Sweden, which date back to the 17th century. The two countries work together on making Europe greener, more resilient and economically stronger. Central focuses of the visit are digital transformation, the energy transition, sustainability and life sciences. Other topics will include the two countries’ shared values and innovative solutions for current and future challenges.
